An EMIS design and implementation to support clean energy generation

NextEra Energy (NEE) is one of the world’s largest clean energy generation companies. It delivers more than 42,000 megawatts of generating capacity from wind, natural gas, solar, and nuclear power sources across the United States, Canada and Spain. The company has two primary subsidiaries:  NextEra Energy Resources (NEER), the largest renewable energy generator in North America, with more than 11,000 megawatts of wind and solar generating capacity across the continent, and Florida Power & Light (FPL), a rate-regulated, vertically integrated power company in Florida that serves more than 8.9 million people in the state.

The power company commissioned E2 to assist with the design and implementation of an Environmental Health & Safety Management Information System (EMIS) for its renewable, fossil, and nuclear electricity generation facilities as well as several corporate business units and the company’s power delivery group. As part of the global  deployment process, E2 is implementing IEA regAction at 100 sites across North America and Europe.
